Should Surah Al-Baqarah be recited all at once or in daily portions?

Reciting Surah Al-Baqarah daily for protection — Sunnah method explained
The protective benefit of Surah Al-Baqarah does not require finishing it in one sitting — daily portions carry the same blessing.

The Prophet ﷺ confirmed in an authentic narration found in Sahih Muslim that shaytan flees from any home where Surah Al-Baqarah is recited, and scholars are clear this protection does not require completing the whole surah in a single sitting. It is entirely acceptable to split the recitation across different times of the day, or even divide it among family members, since what matters is that the surah gets recited somewhere in the home, not who recites it or how many sittings it takes. The recitation also needs to come from someone actually present and reading aloud or quietly to themselves, because relying purely on a recording or speaker is not considered sufficient according to most scholars, unless absolutely nobody in the house is able to read the Quran at all. Some narrations mention the protective effect lasting three days or three nights after a full recitation, though scholars note this benefit grows stronger with consistency rather than a single one-time reading. Making this surah a regular part of your home, even in small daily portions, brings far more lasting protection than rushing through it once and forgetting it. Allah knows best.
