Code of Conduct
Community Guidelines for D'amour Muslim
Built on Islamic Values
D'amour Muslim is a platform rooted in Islamic principles of honesty, modesty, and respect. By using our platform, you agree to uphold these values and treat all members with dignity befitting the sacred nature of marriage.
This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour and community standards for all users of D'amour Muslim. Our platform exists to facilitate meaningful marriage connections within a safe, respectful, and Islamic environment. We expect all members to contribute positively to our community and to use the platform with sincerity and good intentions.
1. Core Principles
Sincerity (Ikhlas)
Use the platform with genuine intention to find a spouse. Do not waste others' time or engage in any activity that is not marriage-focused.
Honesty (Sidq)
Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile. Misrepresentation harms others and goes against Islamic teachings.
Respect (Ihtiram)
Treat all users with respect and dignity, regardless of whether you're interested in them. Every person deserves kind treatment.
Modesty (Haya)
Maintain Islamic standards of modesty in all interactions. Keep conversations appropriate and focused on the purpose of marriage.
2. Profile Guidelines
Your profile is your introduction to potential families. It should accurately represent your child (or yourself) and be created with the intention of facilitating a lawful marriage.
DO
- Provide accurate personal information
- Use recent, clear, and modest photos
- Be honest about your circumstances
- Describe yourself/your child honestly
- State genuine preferences respectfully
- Keep your profile up to date
- Write in a respectful, professional tone
DON'T
- Use fake names or identities
- Upload inappropriate or old photos
- Lie about age, education, or status
- Exaggerate or misrepresent facts
- Include offensive or haram content
- Create multiple accounts
- Use the platform for purposes other than marriage
3. Sending Interest Requests
Sending an interest request is the first step in initiating a potential match. This should be done thoughtfully and with genuine interest.
How Requests Work
- • You can send unlimited requests — there is no cap on pending requests
- • When you send a request, your profile information (except phone number) is shared with the recipient
- • The recipient can choose to accept or reject your request
- • If accepted, both parties can view full profiles and begin chatting
- • You can cancel a pending request before it's responded to
Expected Behaviour When Sending Requests:
- Be selective: Review profiles carefully before sending requests. Don't send requests indiscriminately.
- Be patient: Give recipients time to respond. Don't expect immediate replies.
- Accept decisions gracefully: If your request is rejected, accept it with grace. Do not attempt to contact the person through other means.
- Manage your requests: Cancel requests that you no longer wish to pursue rather than letting them sit indefinitely.
4. Responding to Requests
When you receive an interest request, you have the option to accept or reject it. Both responses should be made with consideration and respect.
When Accepting
- • Your profile information will be shared back with the sender
- • A chat conversation will be opened
- • Engage with genuine interest and good intentions
- • Be prepared to have meaningful conversations about marriage
When Declining
- • It's perfectly acceptable to decline requests
- • No explanation is required
- • Decline promptly rather than leaving requests pending
- • Be respectful—everyone is someone's child
Revoking Access: After accepting a request, you can revoke access at any time if you feel the connection isn't appropriate. The other party will no longer be able to message you or view your full profile.
5. Communication Guidelines
Once connected, you can communicate through our secure chat system. All conversations should be conducted with Islamic etiquette and the seriousness befitting a marriage discussion.
Appropriate Communication
- Discuss marriage-related topics
- Ask about family, values, and deen
- Share relevant information about yourself
- Be prompt and courteous in responses

Prohibited Communication
- Flirtatious or romantic messages
- Inappropriate or suggestive content
- Requests for inappropriate photos
- Harassment or repeated unwanted contact

Guidelines for Family Involvement
