What is the Islamic ruling on love marriage versus arranged marriage?

Islam does not forbid love marriage nor make arranged marriage compulsory; what truly matters is that the path to nikah stays within halal boundaries. If feelings developed without any haram interaction, that marriage is perfectly valid. Arranged marriage is equally accepted, but forced marriage is strictly prohibited, as the Prophet ﷺ confirmed that both virgin and previously married women must give their consent. Islam simply wants righteous character, compatible deen, and mutual agreement between both parties. Choose your spouse the halal way; the rest Allah will bless. Allah knows best.
